Renting a Unit with TK Secure Storage FAQs


How does the rental process work?

It's quick and easy; just a few basic steps and you'll be moving into your storage unit in no time!
  1. Fill out rental information in the "Rent Storage" section online. Follow the steps to choose your unit and make the first month's payment.
  2. E-mail or text a snapshot or scan of your Driver's License/government issued ID to us within 3 days of securing your rental.                            Email: TKSecureStorageBC@gmail.com    Text: 435-258-9697                                                                       
  3. Check the Map tab to locate your storage bay and head on over- 
  • Your unit will be locked with a manager's combination padlock.  The combination is sent to you after renting by text message and email.  Remove this lock and place in the Lock Drop Box on the 200's building inside the gate at the 1000 west location. 
  • Inside you will find a brand new lock for you to use.  Have your own?  That's fine, just drop the new lock in the Lock Drop Box along with the manager combination lock.  

I want to rent with TK Storage, but am uneasy about renting online.  Is there another way to rent? 

Yes of course!  Just call us at 435-258-9697; we will complete the full rental process over the phone.  A link to the rental agreement will be emailed and texted to you to be e-signed, and your ID can be emailed or texted to verify the name given on the agreement.   


Payment FAQs


How do I make payments on my storage unit?    

Payments can be made any of the following ways: 
  1. Auto-pay is the most commonly used route of payment.  You're able to set this up when renting online or over the phone using a debit/credit card or checking/savings account for ACH withdrawal.  Rent is always due on the first, and the date of withdrawal can be set anywhere from the 1st through the 10th of the month. 
  2. Online: Login using your username and password to make a payment whenever you like.
  3. Phone payment- call us to pay with a card over the phone or to set up recurring payments by card or ACH withdrawal.

I want to mail a check but how do I get a receipt? 
When your payment is picked up we enter it into our system and automatically email and text a payment receipt.  

Do you accept cash?  

We don't accept cash, but a mailed cashier's check or money order is perfectly fine. 

I can't make my payment by the 1st of the month, will I get a late fee and how much will it be? 

We understand that sometimes a little extra time is needed to make a payment.  For this reason we allow a generous 10 day leeway before assessing the storage industry standard late fee of 25% of the monthly rental amount.  Notifications are sent by text and email (depending on your profile preferences) to help you remember when payments are due and when a late fee is soon to be assessed.

I forgot my gate code, how do I get a new one? 

You can always check back on your emails and text messages for the original code, or call/text 435-258-9697 to request the code.

How often do you have auctions, and when are they?

We have auctions only after exhausting all efforts to contact tenants and their alternate contacts.  If the account remains delinquent we host our auctions online at StorageTreasures.com on an 'as-needed' basis. 

Do you have any pull-through units for trailers, boats and RVs?  

We do!  At 13x52 they accommodate long vehicles and allow for easy turnabout when pulling through.  If none are available to rent online please add your name to our waiting list and we'll call you as soon as one opens up. 

Do you have outdoor parking so I don't have to rent an enclosed unit? 

No we don't.  But if security and shelter from the weather are important to you when storing your vehicle, this is the place!
